Operation Christmas Child boxes

SURGE (pre-teen) students from RockChurch in East Peoria, IL used their LLL grant to make 24 Operation Christmas Child boxes. The kids were encouraged to choose items for their box that they would enjoy receiving.

Lyla made sure to choose a pink toothbrush and pink socks for her box along with a pink handheld mirror for the girl who will receive it because she’s “all about pink.” Bryson chose a baseball and a blue comb because he loves the Cubs. Students included pencils, pens, erasers, pencil sharpeners, a toothbrush, a brush or comb, wash cloth, socks, toys, bouncy balls, and a drawstring backpack. These boxes will be sent to children ages 10-14 in any of the 100 countries that Samaritan’s Purse serves.

Thank you, SURGE, for partnering with LLL to spread care and compassion all over the world.
