This month we awarded a grant to “Kids in the Kitchen,” a program of the Junior League of Peoria. All award monies were used to provide grocery kits to children served by three Peoria-area social service agencies. The kits included groceries, recipes, nutritional fact sheets and instructional recipe videos. Videos were created by Junior League of Peoria members and their children. The LLL Grant enabled Kids in the Kitchen to provide 300 meals and snacks for 200 people.
