This month we partnered with St. Paul the Apostle School in Davenport, Iowa for their Bags of Hope project. Eighth graders, Anne and Olivia, organized the project, applying for a LLL grant and collecting money from school and church families. A team of seven students and four adults filled 100 drawstring bags with toiletries, gift cards, gloves, and scarves to be distributed to homeless people in the area. Olivia said “Thank you so much for including me on this project. It has taught me so much, and I feel proud to have done something that I didn’t think I could.” Job well done!
